BIOGRAPHY
Born on the 31st August, 1981 and hails from Qormi, Malta. Mum, artist and teacher in the Secondary Sector. Art is her passion and colour, her obsession!
She always loved art, from a very young age, however her formal art tuition started in 2007 at the Malta Society of Arts in Valletta, after which she started attending the Malta School of Arts. She completed the Foundation programme, and then proceeded with the course of Diploma in Fine Arts (2010 – 2014) under the mentorship of artist Mr Tony Sciberras. In June 2015 she was awarded with a Diploma in Fine Arts in Painting.
She is fascinated by colour and the harmony it brings into a composition. She has participated in several collective exhibitions. Her debut solo ‘Realms of Colour’ in September 2025, saw her shift her focus from representational art to abstract work. In August 2026 she presented her second solo exhibition ‘Colours of Introspection’.
Through her works she explores both psychological and philosophical notions linked to human existence, through the unbound and untamed use of colour. Feelings, thoughts and emotions are a major source of inspiration behind her abstract works, in which colour is almost always a protagonist. Ultimately her works aim to evoke a sense of otherworldliness and meditation, leading to a possible transcendental trip away from all material and worldly ties.
